The history of Van Kessel Fruit goes back as far as the 1930s. Our great-grandfather already was a very entrepreneurial man, occupied with various things.

Cherries, strawberries, apples, pears, potatoes, wheat, and even cows were part of the business. Obviously, specialisation was not yet ‘hot’ back then.

Today, we have been specialised in apples and pears from Dutch soil for over 70 years. We bridge the time, the amount and the place of the product. We do this through the entire chain. From the growing of the fruit in our own orchards to the packing for the end user in the supermarket.

VKF is a big company, but a small organisation! And that is felt by our customers. The short lines ensure a high degree of efficiency. We have an ‘actions speak louder than words’ mentality. This has characterised our family for nearly a hundred years.

We consider quality self-evident, not something that we can distinguish ourselves with. VKF’s top fruit cannot and will not be a let-down. That is a promise we make ourselves day after day and from which our customers benefit time and again.

This cannot be captured in high-sounding words. That wouldn’t fit us. We stand for Simply Good Fruit. This is something that you have to taste for yourself to understand.
